Building Fair Work in the Construction Industry webinar hosted by the Fair Work Convention has been rescheduled and will now take place on Thursday 11 August, 2022 at 4:30 pm – 6 pm.
The Fair Work Convention has published its Fair Work Construction Inquiry ‘Building Fair Work in the Construction Industry’ report . This two year inquiry involved research and extensive engagement with stakeholders and calls for urgent action from the Scottish Government, Employers, Unions and Industry leadership groups to build fair work into Scotland’s construction industry.
About this event
At this event we will hear the about the findings and recommendations from our ‘Building Fair Work in the Construction Industry’ report. Fair Work Convention Co-Chair Mary Alexander, will host the event and Professor Patricia Findlay, fellow Co-Chair of the Convention will present an overview of the findings and recommendations of the report.
Also hear reflections on the report from;
- The Minister for Business, Trade, Tourism and Enterprise Ivan McKee MSP;
- Alan Wilson , CICV Chair and Managing Director of electrical trade association SELECT; and
- Paul Mooney, Chair of the Unite Construction
Each speaker will take questions from the audience in an open discussion on what the report and recommendations mean in practice for the construction industry.
