Memorandum of Understanding between the Scottish Government and the Fair Work Convention.

The MoU is an agreement between the Convention and the Scottish Government on ways of working, information sharing and consultation.

Professor Patricia Findlay said;

“The Fair Work Convention’s role is to be an independent advisory body to Scottish Government Ministers, the MoU with the Scottish Government will help us meet our commitments and deliver Fair Work effectively for workers in Scotland.”

Employment and Investment Minister Tom Arthur added:

“I am extremely pleased to be able to sign this Memorandum of Understanding with the Fair Work Convention – to share knowledge and ways of working on how we ensure that everyone in Scotland is paid and treated fairly by their employer. The Scottish Government continues to work with the Convention to drive forward fair work principles across Scotland which are good for businesses and employees alike.”
