Tracy Gilbert steps down from the Fair Work Convention after winning the candidacy to represent Edinburgh North and Leith in the general election.
As the Scottish Regional Secretary for the trade union USDAW, Tracy brought considerable insight relevant to the fair work agenda representing retail and distribution workers in Scotland
Co-Chairs on the Convention, Mary Alexander and Patricia Findlay have formally accepted Tracy’s resignation with immediate effect. Mary and Patricia said:
“The Convention would like to take this opportunity to thank Tracy for giving her time and expertise to advocate and promote fair work in Scotland and support Scottish Government Ministers to deliver fair work in Scotland’s economy.
We are especially grateful for the leadership Tracy has shown on the Fair Work Sub-group of the Retail Industry Leadership Group and wish her all the best in the future.”
